Alumnae share pride, love and respect for their Delta Gamma memberships as they continue meaningful, lifetime commitments. A member is an alumna eight to twelve times longer than she is a collegian.
The growth, success and stability of the Fraternity are due to the outstanding support given to it by its alumnae members. More than 225 alumnae chapters and associations are thriving, busy, diverse groups of women that continue to carry out the purposes of the Fraternity and to share their special Delta Gamma friendships. Service to others has always been an important part of Delta Gamma's mission. For many, it is the most significant part of their membership.
Delta Gamma's opportunities for involvement and participation are unique. Every initiated member is eligible for membership in an alumnae group when she leaves college, wherever she may live. An alumna is welcomed for whatever contribution she is able to make to the group, be it time, talent or treasure. An alumna can join a circle of friends when moving to a new city, networking for her career or being involved in a service project. Alumnae dues keep the Fraternity operating in a healthy balance, so that all members can reap the benefits of membership.
Among the most satisfying alumnae privileges is mentoring collegiate members, serving as advisers, assisting with recruitment, being a house corporation member and interacting at special occasions, all of which aid the collegiate members and strengthens the chapter.
